Dr. Neil J. Gajjar, BSc, DDS, MAGD, FADI, FPFA, FICD, Cert. IV Sedation
Dr. Neil J. Gajjar, born in the province of Newfoundland, graduated with honors from the Stephenville Integrated High School. He was awarded the University of Toronto National Book Award, the Principal's Shield, the Governor General's Medal, and the Lion's Club Scholarship as well as being named Valedictorian, Student of the Year and a Canadian Scholar.
Dr. Gajjar went on to complete his degree in chemistry at the University of Toronto where he was named to the Dean's list and named a Faculty Scholar. His Doctor of Dental Surgery degree was completed in Washington, DC, where he was awarded the Teachers of Oral Diagnosis Award.
Dr. Gajjar has successfully completed the American Dental Association National Boards Part I and Part II and the National Dental Examining Board of Canada Exams. He is currently licensed with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
Dr. Gajjar, who is very active in continuing education, is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Canadian Dental Association, the Toronto Implant Study Club, and the American Society of Forensic Odontology. In addition to attending courses, Dr. Gajjar lectures on managing medical emergencies in the dental office, has been a lecturer of oral pathology and clinical instructor at the Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene, and currently serves as a clinical instructor in the Oral Diagnosis and Emergency clinics at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry.
Dr Gajjar has served on the marketing committee of the Ontario Dental Association, the executive committee of the Canadian Dental Protective Association, is the President for the Ontario Academy of General Dentistry, is an executive on the Council for Dental Education of the Academy of General Dentistry in Chicago and is Past President of the South Asian Dental Association.
Dr. Gajjar is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry, a Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International, a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. He is certified in IV sedation and serves as the official dentist for the Miss India Canada Pageant, Suhaag Publication Group and Fashion Flair.

Dr. Ameet Sachania, BSc, DDS
Dr. Ameet R. Sachania, born in the province of Ontario, attended The Woodlands Secondary School in Mississauga, graduating with honours in 1998. Dr. Sachania was awarded scholarships from both McMaster University and the University of Toronto.
Dr. Sachania attended the University of Toronto, achieving the dean’s honours list while pursing a specialist degree in Biochemistry. Continuing the tradition, he attended the faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto. Throughout his years at the faculty of dentistry, Dr. Sachania served as an active member of class council, and participated in fundraising for various charities, and was a member of both orientation and graduation committee’s. He initiated plans for a community outreach program for underprivileged children with a local school in the Toronto District School Board.
Dr. Sachania completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Toronto and successfully passed the National Dental Examination Board of Canada’s written and Objective Structured Clinical Examination. He is licensed with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, and is a member of the Canadian Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Sanjay Uppal, BSc, DDS
Dr. Uppal received his Bachelor of Science degree honours in Molecular Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of Toronto and went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto. Dr Uppal has served on the Academic Chapter of the Chicago Dental Society and is a member of the Ontario Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Uppal also has provisional hospital privileges at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital for treating patients under general anaesthesia.

Dr. Perminder Dhaliwal, BSc, DDS
Dr. Perminder Dhaliwal entered the University of Waterloo on an entrance scholarship in 1994. He graduated with a B.Sc. Honours and on the Dean’s list. He went on to graduate from University of Western Ontario Dental School in 2002. Dr. Dhaliwal has been involved in organized dentistry serving on many boards and committees including the Continuing Education Committee on the Ontario Academy of General Dentistry. He is an active member of the Canadian Dental Association and also the Ontario Academy of General Dentistry. |

Dr. Neeru Tanna, MBBS, FFARCS (England)
Dr. Tanna has been a Staff Anaesthetist at Trillium Health Centre for over 22 years. As a specialist, he provides General Anasthesia to our patients where adults and children are completely asleep while they are being treated.

Dr. Neeraj Pershad, DDS, MSc(Ortho)
Dr. Neeraj Pershad graduated from Lester B. Pearson Collegiate Institute in Scarborough as the Valedictorian in 1995. In addition, he was awarded the Governors General Bronze Medal for graduating with the highest academic average.
After high school, Dr. Pershad attended the University of Toronto where he was named to the Deans list and the recipient if the V.W. Bladen Award. He then attended the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto where he graduated with honors in 2001. Dr. Pershad received the Dr. J.G. Bourassa Cup for being the most outstanding student in his class and the Eaton Award of Excellence for graduating as the most outstanding dental student in Canada. In addition, he received the Canadian Dental Association President’s Award (for scholarship, leadership, character and humanity), the Ontario Dental Association Proficiency Award (for academic and clinical excellence), the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Implant Student Award, American Academy of Dental Practice Administration Award, the Gordon Cressy Student Leadership award, the Faculty of Dentistry Alumni Association Award of Distinction, the Dr. John A. Sherman Memorial award (for being the most outstanding student in third year dentistry), the International College of Dentists Scholarship(for academic proficiency, leadership, character and extra-curricular activities), the Dr. Howard Rocket Scholarship in preventive dentistry, the S.G. Bridgman Prize (for the most outstanding dental student in second year), and the Isaak Orfanidis Achievement Award (for the most outstanding student in first year dentistry).
Dr. Pershad then moved the United Sates where he completed a one year hospital based general practice residency at the State University of New York in Syracuse. After completing his hospital training, he moved to Winnipeg to specialize in Orthodontics.
At the University of Manitoba, Dr. Pershad obtained his Masters degree and a diploma in Orthodontics. He is currently involved with research and teaching at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba. Dr. Pershad has successfully completed the American Dental Association National Boards Part I and Part II, the National Dental Examining Board of Canada, and the Royal College of Dentists of Canada exams. He is currently licensed as an Orthodontist with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons. |
